This is a bit of a departure for me given the busy background. It conveys an emotional feeling of fuzzy perception like looking through a window in the rain. The impressions are clear, however, and you get the idea you may have met this woman before.

Bloom 3
In much of my work you can see the distinct influence of the rock art posters which grew out of the San Francisco music scene of the 60’s and 70’s. A scene I was present for. This one leans heavily on the inspiration of rock poster master Victor Moscoso in its use of juxtaposed colors creating an eye-jarring effect.

Autobiographical art
“All art is autobiographical. The pearl is the oyster’s autobiography.” Federico Fellini
This is certainly true for me … some works more than others. This one, “Forest 2”, is definitely personal. We experience an infinity of moments in our lives … the best reason I know to keep on going and always willing and open and expanding … even finding myself naked in a dystopian forest.

Hush – Jimi Hendrix
Sometimes inspiration sneaks up on me. I created this face and named it “Hush”. It seemed hauntingly familiar to me. When I posted it, it got several comments, ‘it’s Jimi”. I realized I had been seeing many images of this talented man because it was the 52nd anniversary of his untimely passing. With the encouragement of friends, I saw it, and now I can’t unsee it. I added “Jimi Hendrix” to the title.
