Joy 2

A simple statement of joy evokes both a holiday and a native spirit … perhaps the outward expression of joy is one of the best parts of human nature.

Shrug 3

An indifferent and confident shrug of the shoulder defines the demeanor of some remarkable women I have observed.

Red Robe

A bright minimalist drawing inspired by the pomp of the conclave of cardinals electing a new Pope earlier this year. I recall being struck by the elegant contrast of the skin of Black cardinals and their ultra red robes.

Caroling

‘Tis the season … I love how the holiday season brings people together. Connection, agreement and mutual goals … that is the road to love and truth.

Winter Day

Inspired by a particularly cold day. I drew this between shivers and imagined the sun warming me a bit.

Wired

The image of a well connected individual conducting himself well … line, form, and lights.

Kissing 2

Love and caring is a popular theme with me in life and in Art. Kissing is therefore an inevitable subject. I find the flows of this one gentle and endearing.

Singer 2

I was thinking of a singer/songwriter friend of mine when I composed this. The red shapes symbolize the focus of mind and throat in song.

Hair 9

A momentary return from curly Q lines and bulbous shapes. I am intrigued by the economy of colt and the simplicity of line and form.
